Getting crooked air suspension corrected - need input first!!

I'm hoping for some quick input from people whose air suspension has been operating properly.

After going back and forth with the dealer on suspension issues with my 2018 Rebel, they finally got "permission" from Ram Engineering to manually adjust the ride height values for each corner.

My truck has been a little odd in that it sits about 1.5" higher at the rear/passenger corner compared to the rear drivers corner, AND all 4 corners sit higher than they should...it sits higher in Normal...

BDS lift, what size wheels

I ordered the 4" BDS lift and I'm going to install 35" tires but not sure what size wheels...

They list tire & wheel combinations
35"x12.5" with 17x9 and 4 1/2" back spacing
35"x12.5" with 18x9 and 5" back spacing
35""x12.5" with 20x9 and 5" back spacing
(also says trimming may be required)

What size wheels is everyone running and was any trimming required or any other issues?

I'm leaning towards the 17" wheels right now....

EDIT:
I was also wandering if anyone is running anything other...

2018 Rebel 2wd Level/lift?

hey all. New here so I hope I’m in the right spot. Just bought a new 18 2wd Rebel with the 4 corner air suspension. My tire guy told me he doesn’t think there are level kits and lifts for a 2wd with the 4 corner. He is checking. Does anyone know if this is true? I’d like to level at the very least so I can squeeze bigger tires under there. Any help/advice is much appreciated. Thx

I recently purchased a 2019 Rebel 12, I was wondering if anyone knew what was the biggest tire size you could go up to without lifting the truck, also without having any rubbing. I do not have air ride.

Air suspension leveling stages after the truck is turned off

I thought this might be helpful / informative. This information is from 2016.

The vehicle will make adjustments after the ignition is turned off to maintain the correct ride height. This key off strategy was implemented to minimize both energy consumption and customer annoyance. The following sequence of events will occur when the ignition is turned off and the vehicle ride height is set to normal.

5 minutes after key off – Air suspension system will wake up and vehicle will raise and...

Removing air suspension

Hi,

Newbie, first post. Wondering what's involved in removing the air ride suspension?

A bit of research pointed to taking out the air suspension and putting in springs, shocks and read spring Isolators. Also to disconnect the compressor?

Is that all there is to it? Does anything need to be done in the settings?

Which ram suspension would fit?

Sorry for all the questions, this seems like the best place to ask them. Buying another model truck is not an option.

Some help and pointers...

Air suspension fix!

Hey guys, yeah I'm new here and ive had my ram for a little over a year and have been struggling with the air suspension leaking especially in the colder months up here in Michigan. I dont have a rebel but its a 13' sport so its pretty close.

Anyways, what ive come up with is not really a fix but a way around the system so that you can control the system a bit more.

In the fuse box under the hood find fuse F50. Take out the fuse and add an inline fuse with a 20a fuse and run the line into...

Air Ride Suspension Failure

View attachment 7041 Hi -

I'm new here, but I'd love a little guidance on what happened to my 2016 Ram Rebel this weekend. My family and I were doing a little camping in Death Valley National Park, and after heading up from the Lippincott Pass Road from the Saline Valley, we had about 30 miles of washboarded roads to cover before dark. I was enjoying passing the Jeeps on my way up to the Ubehebe Crater, pushing the truck a little, but probably only averaging 40 mph for about an...

Hey guys, I bought a ‘15 Rebel a couple months ago and have loved it. But the previous owner put lots of toys in it and I’m trying to figure out what is what haha questions: Does this truck have a lift kit? How can I confirm? I want to lift it higher, but I can’t really do anything to it since I don’t know what’s on it. Hope y’all can help! Thanks!

Has anyone else noticed that their new Rebel pulls hard to the left to the point that the truck will change lanes instantly when accelerating hard, and then pull to the right when decelerating?

Plus the steering is very touchy when driving straight. I have to give it constant input with the steering wheel because I cannot find a sweet spot where it will go straight. It does not matter what speed or road I am on it is constantly drifting side to side. If I let go of the steering wheel, it...

Leveling links made the ride too stiff

One of my favorite features of my Rebel is the air suspension. The ride is great! I love how it feels like i'm floating down the highway in Aero mode. Speed bumps, potholes and curbs are absorbed by the suspension in Normal mode much better than the trucks i've owned.

I have leveled three of my previous trucks and last night I installed new leveling links from CFT performance on my 2018 Rebel. I adjusted them so that all four corners were within 1/2". It looked good, but the ride was...

Ok finally got the parts in to delete the airbags. Absolutely hate them. I have a 2016 and love the truck but hate the airbags! They’re great on the highway but for dirt roads with washboards and ruts they’re absolutely terrible. Also any of you who do moderate off-roading you have to admit the truck beats the crap out of you.
I’m doing a Fox coilover and rear shock swap with Eibach rear coils. Also a wheel and tire swap. I’ll post a review with before and after pics, fender height...

So I saw this on A.D.D.’s website... I emailed them to ask if they knew how the install went but they advised that the customer had pre-installed it prior to buying the bumper. I’ve searched and couldn’t really find a answer, but has anyone tried or know if 37’s would fit in the rebel with 4” bds lift and 3” body? That’s what I currently have sitting in 22x14 with 35’s, fixing to either sell or find someone that wants to trade setups for either 22x12, 20x12 or 10, so I can get rid of the big offset and thinking in 37’s

While I was checking out my Rebel’s undercarriage for a metal on metal sound while driving I noticed my rear shock looked like it might be leaking. In the pictures the truck is in off road mode.

Does this look like a leak? I haven’t noticed a decrease in ride quality.

Hey Everybody,

I'm looking into getting a 2018 Rebel, doing my research on known issues etc. and came across the cold weather air suspension issue. From what I'm reading the majority seem to be 2016 Rebels and earlier - can't find a lot of reference for more recent models.

1. Has anyone heard if Ram has addressed this issue with the 2018s?
2. I know it's still early 2018 but... has anyone with a 2018 experienced any issues in -30C this winter?
3. Being that for a few months out of the...

Air ride - Replacement rear shocks

I have a 2017 Rebel with air ride. I started noticing some softness in the rear end, especially after driving down some rough road for a while. There are a lot of times where expansion joints and large cracks in the road (I'm in Illinois, so all roads are crap) will cause the back end to jump to the right. Anyway I dropped the rear axle today ànd disconnected both rear shocks. The driver's side was pretty weak. I could pretty easily compress with much...
