Air Suspension

Loving the fact the Rebel comes ready to go with air suspension. I have owned many different types of trucks and done after market kits on almost all of them which is costly and i am never sure they are done right. Looks like Dodge has already done that for me with this one. The air suspension lifts the cab nearly an inch in off road mode and in standard mode still rides higher than other Ram 1500s in their standard modes. Like that dodge stepped out of the box with this one, cant wait to...

Auto Entry/Exit Mode

Just picked up mine yesterday.

Pretty crazy that it does not have a setting to lower to Entry/Exit mode when you shift into "P". Seems obvious that there should be at least a setting for this. I was hoping to eliminate side steps with this but if I have to push the button to lower once I park and hit the button on the remote when I am getting in, then might as well get some boards and forget about the manual Entry/Exit mode. Love the air suspension but think it is really crazy not to have...

Level Truck

I would like to level the truck. Not sure with the air suspension why they build in such rake (rear tire and fender gap) when the air suspension will self level. Not sure if I want to go up in the front 2" or down in the rear 2".

If I go up in the front I will lose the Entry/Exit Mode and will need to add boards to get in which I do not like the looks of so will need to add the AMP power boards so they are less noticeable and that is another $1500. But I would also be able to add 35" tires...

Off road mode

Anyone come up with any mods to lock in off road mode over 25mph? Off road mode is so useless in this truck, who goes off roading under 25mph

Does going around corners and passing people feel scary to you?

I have noticed while driving around a curve that it leans outwards, like I am about to lose control or tip it over. When passing people up it gets really scary cause the Truck seems to tilt one way and I always jerk back to adjust. I feel that it may cause a wreck in the future. Just wondering if anybody else notices this or if there is a fix for it other than changing out the whole suspension.

Air suspension/moisture build up?

I've had my rebel for about a month now and have been very happy with everything about it so far. The air suspension is a cool feature. It just has me wondering if over time I should expect any water/moisture build up like any air compressor or air brake systems. If so is there a drain procedure? I havn't looked too far into how the system works myself. Just wondering if someone may be able to shed some light on this for me. Thanks

Hidden Winch Plate

Anyone know of a hidden winch plate available that can locate a winch in the lower grill? I don't have my Rebel yet or I'd take a look behind the bumper. If it's anything like my previous truck there is more than enough room in there to mount a winch and many options for mounting plates on the market.

I have seen the full on bumper replacements and the bolt on winch pockets but I like the factory bumper and want to keep it. I also like the winch to be inside and behind the bumper. If no one...

Changing air bag links

Has anyone tried to swap the plastic links for the position switches from front to back? I've seen in other forums that people have tried this to lift the truck up. Fools the sensors in thinking its in its proper position but it's actually higher.

Anything else needed in front end with a 4" lift?

If I get the 4" lift from BDS, is there anything else needed besides installing the kit and doing a wheel alignment? Would I have to switch to high angle CV joints in front? I haven't been under the truck yet to see how it compares to my previous big horn. I had a levelling kit on my previous truck and got a bit of vibration at slow speeds.

Daystar 3" body lift?

It looks like from what I read in another thread that someone put the Daystar 3" body lift on. It is on a white Rebel in the thread about who is running 35's?
My question is when ever I look at a body lift it says it doesn't fit the Rebel. But it looks from reading anyway that the white Rebel has the 3" daystar body lift. It looks like the tow hooks are gone in the picture, that makes sense as it is a body lift.
So do you think if I order the daystar 3" body lift for a 1500 Ram it will work...

Strange sound from rear when lowering to entry/exit mode. Normal?

When my rebel is at regular height with the engine off, using the remote to lower, I hear a strange clicking type of sound as it lowers. Dont hear anything coming from the front. Is this normal? Is the compressor back there? Any insight is appreciated. Had rear main seal go with 250 miles on her. Now i am paranoid about everything! Gggrrr... Thanks!

Removing air suspension

Hi,

Newbie, first post. Wondering what's involved in removing the air ride suspension?

A bit of research pointed to taking out the air suspension and putting in springs, shocks and read spring Isolators. Also to disconnect the compressor?

Is that all there is to it? Does anything need to be done in the settings?

Which ram suspension would fit?

Sorry for all the questions, this seems like the best place to ask them. Buying another model truck is not an option.

Some help and pointers...

3 week old Rebel back at dealer for rear main engine seal leak AGAIN!!!! HELP!

So I posted last week about the leak I had on my brand new, only put 200 miles on it, Rebel. Got it back from dealer after 5 days and kept an eye on the problem area. Sure enough, it's leaking again! Not as profusely, but nonetheless, it's leaking oil!!! I am beyond furious now. I brought it back to the dealer 2 days ago and have heard nothing from them since. I have called FCA and opened a complaint and have been assigned a case manager. She seems to be completely incompetent in every...

Air Ride Suspension Failure

View attachment 7041 Hi -

I'm new here, but I'd love a little guidance on what happened to my 2016 Ram Rebel this weekend. My family and I were doing a little camping in Death Valley National Park, and after heading up from the Lippincott Pass Road from the Saline Valley, we had about 30 miles of washboarded roads to cover before dark. I was enjoying passing the Jeeps on my way up to the Ubehebe Crater, pushing the truck a little, but probably only averaging 40 mph for about an...

Better shocks (reservoir) for Rebel with air suspension

Hi,

Does anyone knows if there are any shocks that are better than the stock ones, and actually works with air suspension?

Im planning on switch the links to adjustables, so i get the 2" lift, but want to upgrade the shocks as well. (Fox, king, blistein....any reservoir shock that works with the air suspension in case i want to use it)

Thanks.

2015 Suspension Links

So everything I read about the link swap talks about the rear being longer then the front. My fronts are 7/8 longer then the rear and when I switch mine the rear drops to aero mode and it maxes out the lift in the front, then I get a error message saying unable to make change to ride height over pay load. Are the 2015's different then all these posts? Or am I just doing thing wrong? Mine was made June 2015 if that helps any.
